The details, without the guesswork
My fee is $220 per 50-minute counselling session.
I offer a limited number of sliding-scale appointments with reduced fees for clients experiencing financial barriers. If cost is a concern, please reach out so we can discuss whether a reduced-fee appointment is currently available.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I ask for at least 24 hours' notice. You can make changes through your My Account page in Jane or by emailing hello@jackielarkincounselling.ca.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to 50% of the session fee. Appointments missed without any notice are subject to the full session fee because that time has been reserved for you.
That said, life happens, and I understand that plans can change unexpectedly. If I'm able to fill your appointment time with another client, I'll gladly waive the applicable fee.
I accept Interac e-Transfer and all major credit cards — whichever you prefer. I do ask that all clients keep a valid credit card securely on file.
I don't currently offer direct billing; however, I'll gladly provide a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Since coverage varies, I recommend confirming that your plan covers services provided by a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) before booking your first appointment.
I support adults navigating ADHD, burnout, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and anxiety and perfectionism.
While I work with a range of concerns, adult ADHD and hormonal shifts are a primary focus — especially supporting individuals navigating the mental, emotional, physical, and relational changes that often accompany perimenopause and menopause. You are welcome to read more about each area on my What I Can Help With page.
Please note, I don't provide diagnoses or formal ADHD assessments. However, I do offer counselling support for adults with ADHD. As an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider, I have specialized training in adult ADHD, and supporting neurodivergent clients is a core part of my work.
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, which means seeing ADHD as part of how you experience and move through the world, rather than something to be fixed. Together, we can explore what your neurodivergence means to you — not just as a diagnosis or a list of symptoms, but as part of your lived experience. This might include better understanding your attention, motivation, energy, emotional regulation, and executive functioning, as well as your sensory needs, communication patterns, relationships, strengths, and challenges. We can also find practical systems and strategies that work with your natural rhythms instead of against them.
You don't need a formal diagnosis to work with me. If you'd like to learn more, you're welcome to visit my ADHD page.
Finding a therapist who feels right for you matters. I offer a free 15-minute consultation — a low-pressure opportunity to share a little about what brings you to counselling, ask questions, and get a feel for whether my approach is what you're looking for. There's no obligation to book a full session afterward.
If another therapist or service may be better suited to your needs, I'll do my best to point you in a helpful direction.
You can view my current availability and book a time through Jane, my secure online booking system. Just select Book Now (opens in a new tab) in the menu on any page, or use the booking link (opens in a new tab) on my contact page. If you'd rather connect by email first, you're welcome to reach out, and I'll be happy to help you decide what comes next.
I offer both in-person and virtual appointments on Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays. Please check my online booking calendar for current availability, or reach out and I'll do my best to find a time that works for you.
Your first session gives us time to get to know one another. We'll review the consent forms, talk about what brings you to counselling, and begin exploring what you hope to gain from our work together.
You don't need to arrive knowing exactly where to begin or having clearly defined goals. We can sort through that together.
Counselling sessions are 50 minutes in length.
Many clients begin with sessions each week or every other week, then gradually leave more time between appointments as their needs change. We'll decide on a schedule together and adjust it as we go.
I offer in-person counselling for individual adults in Calgary and secure virtual sessions through Jane for clients across Alberta. If your schedule or needs change, you're welcome to move between in-person and virtual appointments — just let me know, and we'll find what works best.
Walk-and-talk therapy will also be available in Calgary soon.
Yes — there is ample free on-site parking available at the Thrive Business & Wellness Centre, with accessible stalls close to the main doors. The building also has a barrier-free entrance, and my office is located on the ground level for added convenience.
My practice does not provide crisis services, and email is not monitored 24/7. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department.
