Got questions?
The details, without the guesswork
My fee is $220 per appointment. This includes 50 minutes of counselling and 10 minutes for documentation, billing, and care coordination when needed.
I offer a limited number of sliding-scale appointments for clients experiencing financial barriers. If cost is a concern, you're welcome to reach out so we can discuss whether a reduced-fee space is currently available.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice — and missed appointments — are subject to the full session fee because that time has been reserved for you.
That said, life happens. If I'm able to fill your appointment time with another client, I'll gladly waive the cancellation fee.
I accept Interac e-Transfer, debit, and major credit cards. E-Transfer is my preferred payment method, but I ask all clients to keep a valid debit or credit card securely on file.
I don't currently offer direct billing, but I'll provide a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Because coverage varies, I recommend confirming that your plan covers services provided by a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) before booking your first appointment.
Finding a therapist who feels right for you matters. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation where you can share a little about what brings you to counselling, ask questions, and get a feel for whether my approach is what you're looking for.
If another therapist or service may be better suited to your needs, I'll do my best to point you in a helpful direction.
You can view my current availability and choose a time through my secure online booking system. If you'd rather connect by email first, you're welcome to reach out, and I'll be happy to help you decide what comes next.
Your first session gives us time to get to know one another. We'll review the consent forms, talk about what brings you to counselling, and begin exploring what you hope to gain from our work together.
You don't need to arrive knowing exactly where to begin or having clearly defined goals. We can sort through that together.
Many clients begin with weekly or every-other-week sessions, then gradually leave more time between appointments as their needs change. We'll decide on a schedule together and adjust it as we go.
I offer in-person counselling in Calgary and secure virtual sessions through Jane for clients across Alberta. If your schedule or needs change, you're welcome to move between in-person and virtual appointments — just let me know, and we'll find what works best.
Walk-and-talk therapy will also be available in Calgary soon.
My practice does not provide crisis services, and email is not monitored 24/7. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or visit your nearest emergency department. You can also call or text 988 for immediate suicide crisis support.
You'll find additional crisis and community resources on my contact page.
